Buffalo Exchange

Jul 25, 2013

Last week my sister and I managed to snag four great pieces from Buffalo Exchange! Check below the cut for more pictures. In case you're unfamiliar with Buffalo Exchange (if you are familiar, skip ahead!), it's a clothing thrift store that also buys from local people. You can bring bags of clothing to the store and they will sort through it and pick what they think will sell; when done, they give you a certain percentage back in cash or store credit. Like Crossroads Exchange Company, they're pretty selective in what they buy and will usually take well-known brands (American Apparel, Forever 21, H&M, Urban Outfitters, and Hollister to name a few) and items that correspond with the current or upcoming season.

I apologize in advance for the poor quality of the images, I only have my phone camera to work with! :(

The first is a leather skirt that was $13. The tags were cut off, but I found a skirt on ASOS that looks almost identical to it. I found a great shirt to go with this skirt at the store as well, but passed on it because it was $27. :/

These are the American Apparel Tap Shorts in a size 26/27. I bought them for $15. I also found another pair of 24/25 Khaki ones ($15 as well), but I decided to just keep the black ones. I wish they had a 25/26 one, because the 24/25 fit just a tad too tight and the 26/27 gaps in the back.

These are a vintage pair of high-waist light/medium wash Levi shorts, $11. They fit just right.

And last but not least, the American Apparel Belle De Jour Dress! This was only $22 and the small fit perfectly! I'm 5'0 and I'm surprised it only hits knee-length for me (I'm sure the AA model is much taller than me). I didn't think I would like this dress, but I tried it on and I am in love with it! It seems like one of those dresses that would look great on women of all shapes and sizes. :) I think wavy/retro-styled hair and a bold red lip would look fantastic with this dress.

Again, sorry for the bad quality of the pictures! I don't have a nice digital camera to take pictures with and probably won't be getting one anytime soon. Please bear with the quality. Thanks for looking and (maybe) reading! :)
